Edgee Terms of Use

Welcome to Edgee! These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the services provided by Edgee Cloud SAS and its affiliates ("Edgee," "we," "our," or "us"), including our websites, dashboard, edge platform, APIs, SDKs, and related services (collectively, the "Services").

By accessing or using the Services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Eligibility and Acceptance

By using the Services, you represent that:

  • You are at least 18 years old.
  • You have the authority to bind the legal entity (the "Customer") you represent.
  • You agree, on behalf of the Customer, to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you must refrain from accessing or using the Services. Continued access or use constitutes binding acceptance of these Terms by you or the entity you represent.

Note:

By using Edgee's Services, you confirm that you have reviewed and accepted the terms of our Data Processing Addendum (DPA), which governs Edgee's processing of personal data on your behalf.

2. Services Overview

Edgee provides an edge component platform that enables customers to deploy workloads at the edge, integrate with third-party services (e.g., analytics, tag managers), and enforce consent-based privacy controls via programmable edge components.

Plans

Edgee offers different service plans with varying features, performance, and support levels:

  • Free: Ideal for testing and side projects. Includes 50,000 requests and 5,000 events/month for free at the account level.
  • Team: Intended for advanced usage by small teams. Includes unlimited components but excludes advanced routing, security options, and premium support.
  • Enterprise: Designed for large-scale and mission-critical use. Includes advanced networking (e.g., Geo Routing), enhanced security (e.g., Access Control), custom SLAs, and 24/7 support.

Service fees and overage charges are calculated and invoiced automatically via Stripe based on usage metrics and applicable plan thresholds. Details on pricing and volume tiers are available on the Pricing page.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, all paid plans commence on the date the Customer selects and activates the plan through the Edgee dashboard and continue on a monthly recurring basis until canceled. Payment is due immediately upon plan activation or renewal.

Edgee reserves the right to enforce usage limits, restrict access to premium features, or adjust service levels based on the selected plan.

Service Levels

Edgee uses commercially reasonable efforts to ensure platform availability and performance for all users. Enhanced service level agreements (SLAs), including uptime guarantees and premium support, are available only to customers on the Enterprise plan and may be defined separately in an applicable service order or agreement.

3. Customer Responsibilities

You, as the Customer, are responsible for:

  • Ensuring your configuration and use of Edgee complies with applicable laws, including privacy and data protection regulations.
  • Managing access to your account and maintaining confidentiality of API keys and login credentials.
  • Ensuring your end users are informed and that valid consent is obtained when required by law.
  • Accurately setting privacy and consent preferences in the Edgee dashboard.

4. Account and Access

You must register for an Edgee account to access the Services. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, complete, and current information.
  • Notify Edgee immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
  • Use the Services only for lawful and authorized purposes.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Services to transmit unlawful, abusive, or harmful content.
  • Attempt to disrupt or degrade Edgee's infrastructure.
  • Reverse engineer or decompile any part of the platform.
  • Circumvent any usage limits or access controls.

Edgee reserves the right to suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms.

6. Data Processing and Privacy

Edgee acts as a data processor when processing end user data on your behalf. Our processing is governed by the Edgee DPA, which is hereby incorporated into these Terms by reference.

We encourage you to read our Privacy Policy to understand how Edgee collects and processes personal data for its own operational purposes.

7. Intellectual Property

Edgee retains all rights, title, and interest in the Services, including all software, trademarks, and documentation.

You retain ownership of any content or configuration you submit through the platform.

8. Modifications to the Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the dashboard or email. You will be asked to accept the updated Terms upon your next login. Continued use of the Services after an update constitutes acceptance.

9. Suspension and Termination

Edgee may suspend or terminate your access to the Services for:

  • Violation of these Terms
  • Legal or regulatory reasons
  • Inactivity or account misuse

You may terminate your account at any time via the dashboard. Termination does not relieve you of any payment obligations or restrict Edgee's right to enforce these Terms.

10. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

The Services are provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • Edgee disclaims all warranties, express or implied.
  • Edgee is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
  • Edgee's total liability under these Terms shall not exceed the amount paid by the Customer in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of France, unless otherwise specified in a Master Service Agreement. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Paris, France.
